Our veterinary dermatologists can treat your pet for a variety of dermatology issues--from the simple to the highly complex. If your pet's allergies are undetermined in nature, we can perform a battery of tests on the pet to isolate the exact substance causing the problems.Diagnostic testing procedures include testing for parasites, allergy tests, testing for auto-immune disorders, microscopic exams of your pet's skin and fur and video-otoscopic exams for pets with ear problems.Regardless of the origin of the dermatological problem, both sporadic and chronic issues can be resolved with the help of our staff.
In some cases, food allergies require a special pet food. Once we have determined the allergy, we can provide your pet with a prescription pet food that will help ensure the the pet gets the nutrients they need, but that they do not get any of the harmful allergic reactions. We also offer nutrition counseling because we do understand that there are certain times that your pet may be allergic to some food substances that simply cannot be entirely avoided. Don't worry, this is not an impossible situation.
We like to help our pet parents to make sure that their pets are protected from fleas and ticks in the safest possible way. We offer flea and tick prevention for pets, and if your animal has an allergy to the flea and tick prevention they are currently using, we will find a safe alternative!
