At Clinton Hill Animal Clinic, our Brooklyn veterinarian offers a full range of health and wellness services for your canine companion. With August 26th being National Dog Day, we thought now would be a fitting time to remind dog owners to schedule their pups' annual health and wellness exams, vaccinations, and other care appointments here in our office. After all, routine care can help keep your dog healthy—and a healthy dog is a happy dog!
National Dog Day falls on August 26th each year and was originally founded back in 2004 by well-known animal advocate Colleen Paige. She has also founded other such holidays as National Mutt Day, National Cat Day, and National Puppy Day. The purpose of National Dog Day is to recognize and celebrate all the dogs that have touched our lives, from the dogs we have welcomed into our own homes to dogs that have served in our communities.
So, with National Dog Day being in August, what will you do to celebrate? If you have a dog of your own, consider going out of your way to make this day special for him or her. Bring your dog home his favorite treat, or take him on an extra long walk.
If you don't yet have a dog of your own, what better day of the year to adopt one? There are likely dozens, if not hundreds of dogs in need of a home at your local shelter or animal rescue. Save a shelter dog's life today! Or, if you're not currently in a position to adopt a dog, consider donating your money or time to a local dog rescue.
We hope you'll join our Brooklyn veterinarian in celebrating National Dog Day this year. If your dog is due for a wellness exam or other service, schedule it with Clinton Hill Animal Clinic today by calling %CLIENT_PHONE%.

To Dr Dendtler and Staff, I cant begin to tell you how impressed I am with the loving care you have given to my cat Baxter, before and after the much needed surgery. Baxter is so pleased with the outcome; he goes around purring all day.
Dear Pamella, We want to thank all of you so much, not only for the loving care and consideration you showed us last Thursday when we had to say goodbye to Gericho but also for all the years of check-ups and other crisis' that we went through with him. We know it was your good efforts that allowed him to live a full and vigorous 16 years that gave us so much pleasure. Please know that we have always found your staff to be so courteous and helpful all these years.
Dear Dr. Dendtler, You were very thorough and caring in treating Buddy. You explained clearly how to protect my dog. I have been to many clinics but you are the best. You were very professional and compassionate. Buddy and I are very grateful. Thanks ever so much to you and your staff.
Hi Dr Dendtler, Thank you so very much for fixing my eye. I can see clearly now…I can see all obstacles in my way! Love Vernell R
